What You Need for Tiling
The equipment you will need will depend on the job you are doing, but you should definitely have the following:
- Tile cutters - different types are available for different types of tiles i.e. ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles and natural stone tiles
- Tile nippers – ideal for trimming edges and around corners
- Tape measure
- Spirit level
- Spacers – available in 1mm to 5mm sizes
- Wooden batten(s) – from which to make guide rods
- Adhesive
- Grout
- Adhesive spreader
- Grouting squeegee
- Pencil or chalk
- Sponges/cloths
- Measuring bucket
- Safety goggles and protective clothing
You may also need:
- After care products
- Sealant
- Saw – if you are creating more complicated shapes
- Drill
- Trim
- Primer
