What You Need for Tiling

The equipment you will need will depend on the job you are doing, but you should definitely have the following:

• Tile cutters - different types are available for different types of tiles i.e. ceramic tiles, porcelain tiles and natural stone tiles
• Tile nippers – ideal for trimming edges and around corners
• Tape measure
• Spirit level
• Spacers – available in 1mm to 5mm sizes
• Wooden batten(s) – from which to make guide rods
• Adhesive
• Grout
• Adhesive spreader 
• Grouting squeegee
• Pencil or chalk
• Sponges/cloths
• Measuring bucket
• Safety goggles and protective clothing

You may also need:

1. After care products
2. Sealant
3. Saw – if you are creating more complicated shapes
4. Drill
5. Trim
6. Primer
7. Bath sealing strip
